Removing the pads, both ends, and sanding them,, completely solved my lurching/grabby braking. Plus I read about frozen pad retainer pins (the 2 chrome pins in each caliper with 5mm allen heads)
These pins each had some crud on them when I removed them, so used Teflon/scrubby on them & they easily cleaned right up ...then used some antiseize on the threads of each so will have no issues down the road. If those get frozen in place, it would not take too much to round them off.
So, I recommend giving the 4 pins some 20minutes attention... even if you do not remove the pads. Might save a lot of grief later!
