All these bikes have a few extra dead end wires... Most times simply pulling out the sender, and cleaning the metal ring/tank connection fixes it. They work on a resistance to ground, and that mounting ring is the only contact

The manual will have it. Why would you have un pluged it?

I can't even look at mine for you. I threw out the harness, and made my own. No gas gauge.

Got ya... The harness is broken down in the manual.

If I get a chance today I will run by the shop where the ZX dash is, and see what color is on the gauge.
I'm working out of three different shops, and I have stuff scattered between all of them.
