Air filter
« on: July 17, 2014, 08:25:45 PM »
I went looking for info on the air filter today.  I'm not sure if it's ever been replaced in my Xciting 08, so I thought I would do it.

I can order the part via my local dealer for $42 USD but was wondering if anyone knew the size or could recommend a site to get the part.  I'm not sure of the size needed.

Thanks.

It's not really a "size thing. It's a part number thing. I used to use Stadium Yamaha for everything Kymco but they dropped Kymco a month or so ago.

Local dealer or maybe someone here has a discounted on line source for OEM stuff.

Go to moxiescooters.com and use their parts look up for parts - there is a diagram that you can enlarge and identify parts and then scroll to the bottom to get the pricing.  You can set up an account on line and John (owner) will send the part to you just like other parts places.

Moxie Scooters is a great place and I get all my parts there (bought my scooter used but get parts/accessories from Moxie).

Google DNA filters. It is just like a K&N style filter. Wash when dirty, and re-use. Last filter u will buy. I bought mine on ebay. :-*

Well I ended up getting a Kymco part ordered (not cheap I'm sad to say) and ended up installing the damn thing and doing some basic maintenance on a rainy day.
