When you guys stop your scooters, do you flip off the engine cut off switch and turn off the ignition, or just shut off the ignition without using the engine cut off switch?

I just turn the key. The on/off switch is aways set to ON. I asked about this the day I bought my scoot and the dealer said most people don't mess with the on/off switch and just leave it on. My guess is, this is why the first thing people say when their scoot won't start is "check the on/off switch".

Same here. I always just use the ignition to turn it off. I do, every once in a while, cycle the kill switch on and off a couple times while the scoot is off so the contacts in the switch don't corrode up. It was a suggestion I got from a couple of folks here on the forum to do that.
But I never use it to shut the scoot off.

I never use the kill. It's just one more thing I don't need. I am also concerned it may break or jam in the kill position. I'm not even sure why they install them.
