CELP Codes for 2012 Yager GT 200i
« on: October 14, 2013, 02:29:04 PM »
I'm trying to figure out the CELP codes for my 2012 Yager.  I think that the diagnostic blinks on the 2012 may be different than the 2010 model.  The 2012 Yager model appears to use the blink pattern similar to the 2012 Like models where 1 second flashes signify the tens digit and 1/2 second flashes signify the ones digit.  Does anyone out there have a 2012 Yager service manual?  I've got a copy of the 2010 version but I want to make sure that the codes themselves haven't changed between the models.  I'm getting one long flash and six shorter flashes which would appear to indicate a code 16 fault - Cylinder Head Thermo-sensor fault - based on the 2010 manual.  I've been seeing this happen quite a bit over the last month so I'd appreciate any feedback you guys have.  Thanks.

Have you PMed Motorandy123 yet? He wound up as one of the Yager "gurus" on this forum. He would either know or know where the answer is. When did they discontinue the Yager? I was thinking it was 2012. You might try an ECU reset and see if the code comes back. The reset, if I remember correctly, is key off, open throttle to stop, key on for 10 seconds, close throttle, key off. This should erase any codes. Then key back on and wait. Should go thru self-check and CELP light should remain out with key on.

You been waitin' a LONG time on this one! Sorry.

Thanks Yager200i for posting the list to my thread!  I'm getting code 16 (one slow, six fast blinks).  I'll have to look closer at the engine temp sensor.  First I need to get a new battery though.  My Yager won't start up even after hours on the battery charger.  Starter seems to be working and from what I've read a number of people have had to replace battery in first two years.  Anyway, thanks again!

One more question Yager200i.  Where did you get a hold of your Kymco diagnostic tool?  Is it worth spending the money on vs. just checking the codes for the CELP light blinks?

I'd say it is, if you're having or suspect you're having any problems. But these bikes are so trouble free it's a waste of money unless you're servicing a lot of bikes. If you're in the SF Bay Area, PM me, drop by, and you can use mine.
