In Fl. you need the bill of sale, and if there is NO title you have to apply to DMV to have the title issued. 78.00 i think.

In your case you will do the same. Go to DMV w/ a bill of sale, that has the VIN numbers. They will run a title search, and if it comes out clean they will take your money, and mail you the title.

If you do not know the history of the bike I would suggest having a cop friend run a vin check for you first. That might help avoid some drama at DMV.

08087,
Check with your DMV. I bought one last Aug on craigslist without a title and the guy said it would be $100 from the state. Well that wasn't entirely true. I was gonna have to get the scoot appraised, bonded and then apply for a new title. All in all it was gonna cost an extra $500 and I would have to wait at least 6 months for the state of Illinois to process and get me a title. Got lucky and the craigslist scheister gave me my $ back. I still miss that 87 Yamaha Jog though. Couple videos on my YT channel.

I can't believe you even fit on a Jog Kreps. I gave one away a few years ago cause it just felt like a toy bike. I had to drag my feet all the time to ride it.

The jog is awesome!!!!!! I have a early body style zuma and it's about the save size, and I'm 6'1" hahaha. There's someone on zumaforums with a liquid cooled jog, cool build.

So to the OP, if I bought my moped without the now needed paperwork how do I get it to sell it?
you have to go down to the dmv and fill out a lost titel fourm then wait to check if the scoot comes up hot if not they make you a new reg.

No1 rule for me in buying anything with wheels. Clean matching title and owner's ID matches title or no sale. Too many family members sell sh** then the real owner claims it's stolen. Divorce situations pop up 1st.

I got stuck out on the Verucci I have that way (the Vruk). I bought it from a "friend" that said it was titled, and it never was. Turns out it was his nephews girlfriends. When I finally found her she never wanted the bike to begin w/, and left it.
I still have not titled it, and drive it daily w/ an 8 year old tag form one of my old bikes. Small town. Whatever...
