INFESTATION in my gauges!
« on: August 17, 2014, 10:28:37 PM »
I've been under the weather and parked my 2012 Agility 50 for about a week. Today I decided to take it out and sat down and started trying to crank it, but noticed some white stuff in the gauges, so I leaned in to take a closer look.
That's when the ants swarmed my hand.

My fuel gauge and speedometer are crammed full of ant larvae! Right now I'm bug bombing the little makeshift garage I made for my bike, but I'm going to have to go in there and deal with this in a day or so.

What is involved in getting into those gauges? Is it even possible if you're not an insect? How fragile are they? I want to use gentle bursts from an air compressor to clear out the larvae, but I'm worried that'll cause the gauges to break or become inaccurate. Will that be a problem?
