Low Fuel Light, Oil Light, Headlight Malfunctioning

I washed the scooter Saturday night and these components are sensitive to getting wet.

Low Fuel Light and oil light stayed on, dimmer than normal but on. The headlight would stay on a few seconds than go off. 

These areas must be weak spots on mine (2010 People S 250) and probably other Kymco models.

Before this can be tackled and corrected some questions need answers.

1. Where does this issue arise from?

      A. The point of connection to the sensor/sender?
      B. On the dash circuit board? 
      C. Headlight appears to be a digital relay that is apparently not sealed well.

2. How can these be sealed to prevent this?

I put two fans on my scooter overnight, one blew in the dash area and the other over the motor, lucky for me that worked and all is good but I want to prevent this from being an issue. IMO normal elements should not cause issues.

If you are in rain at night and the headlight quits, you are out-of-luck.

Judging by the silence since your post of 10 Aug NOBODY KNOWS! I sure don't and could only guess. Your effort with the fans paid off. But the problem lurks.....I have two Kymco's now (DT300i and wifey's Like) have had a Yager 200i. ALL of them have been Gunked inside and out and hosed off, recently with a handy pressure washer (low powered thing, electric from WalMart, Karcher, I think) and NONE of them have reacted adversely, sort of like any Honda! You got a problem and I am GUESSING it is in the instrument panel. Drop the other shoe soon and let us all know what you find. Don't bother with any dealer since none of them would be interested or even qualified to find and fix the problem.

Thanks Karl, guess you are right.

I had this problem with a circuit board in my refrigerator, discussing this with a tech it did not stop blowing them until I sealed it. Don't know if the board on back of the dash allows it to be sealed or not. I read where another member on this forum put in mechanical relays for his headlight instead of the Kymco digital one.

With these areas solved i think all would be good!
