Not if you keep the intake stock. But you may have to go higher than 85 with a 70 kit.

Would pulling out the tube in the airbox be considered a nonstock intake? I should have mentioned that also. Just trying to figure what jet I should be running. Would a #82 jet be to lean for the your posted exhaust mod and removal of that tube in the airbox.

But by nonstock intake, I think you are referring totally bigger carb all together or open air air filter

IMO 82 jet with exhaust mod and collett out is too lean. I did make a post about that a long time ago. I believe I was in the 100 - 102 range on the stock carb jets and was still running lean with nasty plug chops.

But Jets depend on location/altitude so for all I know you could be good. Check out plug chops and maybe even a cylinder head temp guage. 

FYI intake is the metal manifold between the reeds and the carb.

Yes, that will be too lean. And I meant any intake mods, airbox or actual intake manifold.
2002 Kymco B&W 300; MRP 78MM "300CC", Naraku cam, Yoshimura rS3 exhaust, 17g Sliders, Yellow torque spring drilled airbox, stock carb #115 main #40 pj.

2001 "Yamaha" Zuma AKA MBK Booster; MHR OverRange, Dellorto 19mm BHBG, Polini "big" intake, RS-3 Rear shock, Stock cylinder.

brought the scoot in, it should be ready on Saturday.

I bought 54 LED underglow lights to put under my scoot but he didn't want to install them because he said he didn't want to deal with any possible electrical problems, which I understand. Ill have someone else put them on at a later time.


Ive got my fingers crossed, lets see what happens.  :o

Can you can wire them directly to the battery with an inline fuse and switch so as not to touch any other wiring ?
