« on: August 19, 2014, 04:17:25 AM »
Hey gang, just picked up a 2004 cobra that's beat to hell and needs a rebuild.
I would like to build up a motor and suspension to handle 60 mph on a regular basis.I  Have ascess to a shop, tools and funds.

What would you reccomend?

Much thanks! D

Check the web for people who have done it. You'll need a 70cc BBK, 19-21mm carb, expansion pipe exhaust and highway gearing.
Airsal T6 is popular with Kymco engines but some will tell you Malossi is the way to go, others Polini and others swear by metrakit.
Along with those you'll need to adapt your transmission to the jug/ pipe/gearing with new clutch springs, contra springs and a new
variator with a more aggressive ramp angle.
If a hammer doesn't fix it, it's an electrical problem.

Thanks for the great advice! Any favorite web suppliers to purchase these items?
