aftermarket handle bars

Anyone put aftermarket handle bars or remove the plastic covering from the stock bars of their exciting. How difficult is it to do? Pics? Ideas. Kinda like exposed bar look. Also, anyone shorten or trim or put a shorter windshield on the exciting?

I've done business with him and he's a good guy. He has bars for the Downtown but not listed for the exciting but I'd send him a message. It's worth a shot, If  they exists he'll find them.

Awesome thanks. Im curious what the factory bars under the plastic look like. Wonder if I can just remove the plastic and have nice black bars. I just like the exposed bars look. Also thinking of making a shorter wind shield, sportier look

I also prefer naked bars for the simple reason it's simply to mount stuff to them.
