Mirror replacement

Hey Guys I recently replaced my stock mirrors.  They were showing some age from the weather with a bit of rust and pitting.  I think the new mirrors look a lot better on the bike.  They are also lower and don't stick out as much which is an issue while lane splitting.  These mirrors are off a Yamaha Tmax I believe, but there just basic replacement mirrors you can find on ebay I'm sure really easily. 

Here you can see the stock mirrors with my giant givi windshield.


Front with all my cellphone mounts I've been trying out.  Cardboard is for phone analog ride testing to make sure its safe.


Here are the new mirrors I put on.  These have a m10x1.25 screw base.  The stock mirrors are an m8 or m9x? I had to take off the stand off off since it converts the m10x1.25 screw hole in the brake reservoir to a m8 or m9.  I had to get a nylon washer too for the right side.

Lol it feels like it is.  It goes over my head.  Nice thing is I don't have to wear my visor down while riding.  I'm probably going to cut it down at some point. 

The previous owner got it and was part of the purchase price when I bought it 2 weeks ago.  If you look at where it "attaches" to the mirrors, its actually the wrong Givi shield for the bike.  The mounts don't attach to the mirrors so I ziptie them on.

The new mirrors look better than the stock ones.  I prefer high mirrors, so i might use an extender.  When you're lane-splitting, watch the muffler.  I scraped a parked car with it once.

Good to know about the muffler.  I think I'm about done modifying the bike after the cam and shocks.  Going to save up for an Yamaha R1.  Use the people for commuting and the R1 for the canyons.
