SAD news: Click passes away...
« on: November 03, 2014, 10:57:50 PM »
Very sad to learn today of the passing of Tom Magliozzi, "Click" of 'Click and Clack - The Tappet Brothers' from NPR's "Car Talk" radio program from Harvard Square, Mass.

I knew they had ended taping new shows of their very popular Sat morning radio program 2 yrs ago - but I did not know that Tom was suffering from Alzheimer's.

Tom and Ray Magliozzi in their shop....

Uniquely American entertainers....and you might even learn a little something about cars - but I think maybe they liked working on people as much as cars.
I never failed to enjoy "wasting an hour" with them.

Don't drive like Ray's brother, Tommy.
RIP Tom

I'm really sorry to hear that Tommy has died. I have been a regular listener of their show for years. On Saturday mornings it has been my companion when working out in the garage. I even called in years ago with a weird problem with my Italian car. Thanks for letting us know Stig. RIP  :'(

I have to be honest...they never looked like I thought they would.  I always listened when I could and learned a lot mechanically from them.  Sometimes surprising myself by figuring out a puzzler.

He will be missed.

Another Amercan icon of the radio gone. So sad. They're my regular Saturday morning dose of humor and wit. Tom will be sorely missed. (I still miss my noon time fix of Paul Harvey.)
