Gotta crow about Cycle World's "The Total Motorcycling Manual" containing 291 essential skills. This is a well illustrated, no nonsense (well, mostly no nonsense) answer book suitable for coffee tables and the tank on the back of a "real man's" toilet. It is an "answer book" because one version has flexible covers and rounded page corners. It also has more stuff in it than one usually considers about motorcycling or scootering. Like the questionable advice on doing a "stoppie" or the nose-over "wheelie" that must be good for the new bike sales. Lotsa stuff on general riding, touring, preparing for long trips and general maintenance. It is a bit pricey at nearly $30.00 at Books-a-Million but very rewarding. At least go browse it at your favorite book seller. You won't regret it.
