Today when I started the bike ,i noticed after a few meters of driving that the digital indicators between the the two analog dials was blank,no fuel gauge ,nothing was displaying  ,as i was shocked ,i just stopped the bike by the side of the road and cut the ignition ,then restarted it ,now all was normal ,what could have caused this ? :-\

Are you still in the first year of warranty? I would get it replaced before it goes out for good.

I would start by "biting the bullet" and start putting dielectric grease in ALL  the connectors on the bike. This symptom sounds like bad contact in  one or more connector.

Just checked the wiring diagram for the DT300i and it shows one big connector for the instrument panel. It seems unlikely that just the LCD display would have bad contact but one or more could be possible. Just the LCD would be something on the board being more likely. I would still start with the connectors all over the bike maybe with contact cleaner to clean any possible corrosion and then the dielectric grease for a preventive. The next thing is the instrument PCB itself and look for a cold solder joint where the digital display joins the board. That is assuming one can get to the board. A lot of these things are fused together. You might just be the pioneer on this!

Yes, has happened to me on occasion.

Just stop, turn off the ignition and restart.

No big issue.

I am getting the same problem more regularly now. It never happened when I first purchased my Downtowner but now it does. Mostly it's only the fuel gauge that doesn't appear, even after restarting the bike. I will as about it next service as not knowing how much fuel is left could leave me in the middle if nowhere. I don't want to go around checking all the connections especially if not approved by a kymco mechanic.
The Kymco DT 300i ABS is the best scooter you can get. I love it's carefree automatic ride. I would like to see kymco make a 600cc version but no heavier then the 300. I would buy it for sure

I am not an approved Kymco mechanic and I have done this on all the scoots we have or had. It is a simple unplug, goober all the female connections and plug back in. However, having time to think about this some more, I am inclined to suspect the connection from the LCD to the circuit board. These days that connection is some adhesive device that looks like extruded ribbon candy. I have had marginal success on this type of problem on other devices like calculators.

Had more time to think about this. Did some mods to wife's People GTi300 and made a discovery that may help: Unplugged the fuel sensor to remove the rear "tupperware" and noticed on a test of the mod the fuel gage on the panel was not there! This leads me to believe you may have connectivity problems with both the fuel level sensor and the temp sensor. This leads me back to "unplug, goober, plug back in" recommendation.

PS: Just re-read the whole thread. Sklnzl, you said the whole display went blank, right? Was the backlight still on?

C'mon, Sklnzl, I'm dyin' here!

Between you and Kneeslider it sounds like a pesky intermittent, the HARDEST to find. I am back to bettin' on the dielectric grease idea.....

I don't think it's something really worth losing any sleep over.
