I owned the Suzuki TU250X for almost two years. I was very disappointed. It only has like 19HP. The upside is it's FI & it's a very cool looking bike & that's about it. When I bought mine new (6-7 years ago) the retail price was $3399.00 then. Now it's a grand more @ $4399.00 (insane) If you're a smaller person, then it might be right for you. Personally I got tired of the bike really fast. I have to mention that I sold mine quickly for $2500.00 to a local person & I see him riding around on it. If you haven't taken one for a test spin, I suggest you do.

Went and test drove a tu 250 and was impressed with the bike. Heinens has a 13 model for $2999 plus fees. About $3800 total to my door. Guess what, sitting right next to the tu 250 was a 15 model Yamaha xt 250 and test road that too. What a sweet ride, I have dual purpose in my blood and love the option of just taking off into the unknown off road. I'm torn between the styles of the bikes. A new XT 250 is not on my shopping list though with the brand new price plus fees, $5600 out the door. One things for sure a 250 is in my future 1 way or another. It's difficult to even find a sweet 250 scoot to test drive to see how it seat/legroom is and performance.

Or, the CB300F ($3999) Not a big bike, but a lot of bike for the $.
Hopefully they'll offer the ABS version in the States, soon. Honda asks @$500 for ABS....probably well worth it - and good re-selling point.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Well folks, I'm no longer a Kymco owner. Sold the scoot and bought a new old stock 12 Kawi KLX 250S. I got a fair deal on it considering how m/c franchises work. Had to dicker for 2 hours and grab my helmet twice walking out the door before we could agree on a price, took the GM to negotiate with me to geterdone. Salesman was pissed............what a sweet bike, I'm a happy camper. Zoom zoom!

I'm in 2wheelfun heaven ladies, no regrets. I'll still hang around because of what I can learn and the great people. Someday I might get an agility 125 just to put around on in the hood for quick errands. 1 thing is for sure, M/Cs and scoots are 2 different beasts. I stalled the kawi twice forgetting to pull in the clutch at stops, rear braking with your right foot. Biggest change is shifting and correctly down shifting, lol it's all good. Zoom zoom!
