2014 Agility 50 postion lights.
« on: June 11, 2015, 03:20:13 PM »
So, I just discovered that my US Agility has the 2 position lights in the headlight housing. From looking at wiring diagrams, the brown wire connects to the same circuit as the read running light/taillight.

Does anyone know if the wire that is intended for the front position lights is just tied up somewhere?

Has anyone found where the front position lights tie in to the rear light brown line?

Are you talking about the 3.4w light they list as Fr position light on the schematic? The way I read the print the brown wire is power to that, the tail & dash lights.  The light switch is a relay that's excited/switched once the engine starts, not a manual switch. I've got a 2013 it only has the headlight up front, no running(3.4w)light. But I've never looked behind the body work for a plug.
My wife never asked, " can you make it go faster?" until we bought a 4 stroke Moped. My reply, "yes dear"

Yeah, in the upper corners are 2 little bulbs, in holders, wire going to the harness. Those are referred to as position lights. However, in the scooter side of the harness, there is no brown wire going to it. If I get some time, I'm ging try and look under the handlebar bodywork, to see if maybe the other half of the brown wire is just tied up in there.

My 2013 does not have the lights your talking about. Just the headlight with no small lights in the upper corners. Like I said, the schematic I downloaded for my 2013 only shows one Fr position light & I never looked behind the body work. Plus the head light is on whenever the bike is running so the, "cool lights" would never be visible.

The little lights are for running lights that are required in different countries I believe. Or at least that's what I've read on here some where in a different post. Because the US. Doesn't require them that's why they are not connected to power. You can tie them into your power wire for the headlight for a brighter affect but in reality it makes it too bright. I had the same question about them myself is how I learned this.

I had the 07 scoot. and my wires were under the front plastic. I know this because When I redid the scoot I cut theam wires out. I cleaned up the harness so I would not have extra wires I did not use.

Like I said they are not required here in the US.  Use them if you must but the only way to get power is either run a new power source wire or tie them into your existing headlights but remember that they will cause a brighter effect which in turn may not be what you are needing with a@# hole% on the road lol
