Simota lifetime air filter

I decided to take a chance and invest in a reusable air filter since the average cost of replacement is $35 and I have already replaced mine 3 times. I found this on ebay and though it was located in Taiwan the total costs including shipping was a tick under $50. The new one has about 20% more filter and the effect is very instantaneous. They claim a 7% increase in horsepower and I would have doubted that until I tried it, increase acceleration and power. Worth every penny and then some to never have to buy another one again. And even though they said it would be two - three weeks delivery I got mine in 9 days. Simple cleaning with compressed air and youre good to go! I give it two thumbs up!

Make sure to use air filter oil on that filter, it relies on correctly oiled to filter fine dust. You can use k&n filter oil, the kit comes with filter cleaner too. Get at your local auto parts store

I got the K&N kit as you suggested. I was not aware of the oiling factor. Thanks for the tip. I have since oiled it but I am not sure what is enough or what is too much. The kit says spray filter until it turns red but that seems extreme to me. What are your thoughts?
Thank you

Or the BMC filters for several Kymco's including the Downtown 300i.
