2006 low mileage S250
« on: August 13, 2015, 02:01:49 AM »
Looking through Craigslist, I saw a 2006 S250 in "excellent condition", according to seller. The listing says that the bike has less than 500 miles, and has been in storage for a long time.
I am new to small bikes and their issues. Other than the carburetor being gummed up and/or ruined, what would some of the other problems with a bike like this sitting for so long? The listing says that it "needs a good run to get it going strong".
 Just curious.

When I bought my 2006 People 250 a couple of years ago, it too has sat for a few years. In addition to cleaning the carb several times, the fuel pump went out after about 300 miles. A common problem for bikes that have sat for a long time.

That's a nice scoot. How much is the seller asking? Remember the tires and drive belt may need changing too, both 9/10 years old.
