Wake up out there!
« on: February 10, 2010, 05:33:08 PM »
I am still getting an occasional drop of liquid under my ps250.  They look like a single drop of liquid with some sooty (brake pad dust/belt dust) solid around edges - looks kinda like a fried egg.  They do not dry out - so I am assuming oil.  I can't see where they are coming from.  I am wondering if I should dump it on the dealer before it gets worse, or if dumping it on the dealer will make it worse.  I noticed my oil level was down a bit (maybe 4 shot glasses) after about 2 months since last oil change - does the PS250 routinely loose oil, or is mine needing some attention.  I am assuming it got consumed in the engine some how as my leaks are not that severe.  Got my mittens - not cold enough to give good test and the have segregated index finger - gonna try and get a seamstress to reunite index finger with its other buddies for max heat sharing.  Riding about 50 percent of what I'd like, but weather is getting better every day!

Axy had a similar oil leak. His was a casting flaw in the side case. It is worth finding the problem. If it is a flaw you may be compensated thru the dealer. Try wiping w/ a tissue to find the source.
