Hi can any one answer a quick question just bought my son a kymco super 8 50cc 4 stroke 2009 model looking at this it tell me to cut the wire to  de resticter the rev on the cdi unit but are they the same coulor on all year

most the kymcos I worked on was to cut the cdi box its self.Never a wire.I know some of the other scoots you just pull the pink wire from the clip its going in.and also any kymco scoots after 2010 theres no need to worry about the cdi...........I see yours is a 09 so double check but all you may have to do is up jet and a drive boss.
