Whitewall tires
« on: November 05, 2015, 04:33:51 AM »
So I have a Kymco Like 50 LX with the two tone blue and white paint scheme and although I am looking for a few basic performance upgrades I want this to more or less keep the retro look it has and I think white walls would be a great look on this scooter. The question I have is which tire to get. I have seen the post with someone who got whitewalls from Continental but I don't like the looks of the sides on them.
There are two other brands I've seen out there one is Naidun which is only 2 ply. http://www.amazon.com/Naidun-Tires-70-12-N-369-Tubeless/dp/B00J4Z8ETG
The other is Shinko. http://www.amazon.com/Shinko-SR723-Series-Tire-XF87-4263/dp/B001CD6K7G
Out of the two I like the looks of the Shinko best as an all weather tire 4 ply and high speed rating (P up to 93mph). I am just wondering if anyone has purchased tires from either of these two manufacturers and what your thoughts on them.

Only if the Shinko's are tubeless. Been there, had problems. Probably any small tire with tubes would be a problem.

I just checked to confirm they are both tubeless.
