Lately - 3rd cold winter with it - I've finally been kicking around the idea of getting a screen for the LIKE200i.
If I'm going to - I'll want a nice protective one like the Givi which flares out to provide some wind blocking for the hands. Funny Givi screen - the mounting hardware is extra! But at about $175 might be worth it.
It had been a few weeks since getting off of the Burgman and onto the LIKE200i - and I noted how much less secure feeling the ride was on the little LIKE.
I guess it has to do with the wheelbase, weight, wheels size and steering rake.
The mass of the Burgman takes over at higher speeds -
I have had 1/2 mile of freeway experience on a scooter - the 2014 Forza (The day before I sold it w/ 5.5K on the odo)
So, what the heck - I took a section of highway home on the Burgman early on Thanksgiving morning -
nobody on the roads.
With 3000 on the clock - I figured it to be safely broken in. So, instead of back roads I pulled onto the highway which is posted at 70mph. On a downhill stretch I let it run out to 80mph on the speedo - probably about 73 in reality.
Interesting experience - not since I saw 105mph on my Honda bike the night before shipping out to Vietnam have I done this. (went from San Antonio to Austin in about 8 mins)
I think I'll stick to 50mph country roads. The Burgman felt pretty stable at 70 & 80mph - but 50>60 feels better to me.
