electric start

Hi my mxu250 has an intermittent starting prob
sometimes i turn on the ignition press the starter and nothing happens
i can go back a few minutes later try again and it will start first time
any ideas
by the way am i the only member from the channel islands

Oh yeah, the Chanel Islands... You get around by remote! Welcome aboard! The weakest link in the starting system is the solenoid. Do you here it click every time you hit the start button? The most common problem is simply loose or dirty connections from the battery to the starter motor. Try loosening, cleaning, and re torquing all the connections. Then it can be narrowed down some.

Hi
The fastest speed we can do is 35mph
There is no clicking noise
Turn on ignition lihts work horn works
press starter nothing
checked wiring all looks tight

You can use a jumper to the activation post on the solenoid to see if your switch is bad or if the solenoid is bad.
