Oil light

Oil change today @ 19425 miles. OK, a little late maybe. Oil light won't go out if dipstick is still out! I always start and circulate before final top-up. Light usually goes off right away but stayed on. Shutdown & investigate to find what was forgotten. Put the stick back in, fired up and light went out 1-2 seconds after running-like it normally does.

Is Light an oil pressure light? Open fill (cap off) causing low oil pressure & triggering the light? Or oil change light?
(FYI - I questioned the Burgman forum about my scoot not having an oil pressure light -
Response was that the Burg has some kind of bearings that require very low oil pressure - so no light.
Weird.)

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Yup, Stig it is a pressure light. Real low pressure. Same light for time to change. It is red so it gets your attention! I venture the 'Burg and the 300i are built the same way with ball and roller bearings everywhere so low oil pressure. More flow than anything.
