Deristrict cdi?

Hey anyone know proper way to deristrict the stock cdi on a liquid cooled. Chopped green wire after coupling scooter side without success . I have read to others merging light green with dark green or disconnect green half way around on loop back. Please advise wanna go faster on this 70 kit thz

Should just be a green wire with a plug that is on the bottom of the cdi, if you have the brown cdi. Unplug that and you're derestricted.
I wouldn't go cutting anything

Oh, does it have the green wire out of the bottom that has a small connector? If so all that's needed is to unplug it. Otherwise I wouldn't know. I'm not a fan of cutting into the box or anything else that can't be reversed. I was lucky to get the brown cdi given to me by the previous owner.
I believe you can find a new unrestricted cdi on eBay for less than the oem that they want 80 plus dollars for. But the quality... ?
