How to set a digital tach?
« on: March 07, 2016, 07:43:21 PM »
I just got a digital 10 buck tach. I installed but aint getting a real read.
I maneged to get a decent 1800rpm read at idle but a wot it gets 4000 give or take. It should be showing 7500/8000 ! Wot i believe...

The scoot is a rocket tops 115kph and its a like 125.

What configuration should i use??

Thanks

If your scooter is a 4 stroke - it sounds like your tach is set for a 2 stroke.
Try the other setting (s) per the instruction sheet until you see a 8000 RPM reading at throttle.
My Tiny Tach had the same adjustments to make....then it worked fine.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

I tried setting 1 2 and 3. One read idle at 900 then 1800 and then 3600.
1800 seemed the correct setting but at wot things looked odd.. 3700 was the most

Its either something im missing or just its crap this tach.
