...I use a pair of vise-clamps...they spread apart just far enough, with the adjusting screw backed out...clamp them aroung the teeth of the flywheel, and just prop them against a piece of 2 X 4 on th floor...use a 1/2" drive 17mm socket and ratchet on the nut...it's all I had handy the first time I ever opened the cvt, but it works ok...and it was FREE!!..
..I'm a maintenance supervisor...I've seen soo much damage done to stuff by impact wrenches used improperly...Don't like the idea of all that pounding force being introduced into my engine either..
