MXU 250 turns over but wont start
« on: June 09, 2010, 06:26:50 AM »
Hi all

Quad died on me the other day and after a bit of diagnostics, a new spark plug and battery, it turns over, has fuel but no spark!.

Further investigations, with the help from a mechanic across the road, discovered that the coil could be faulty.

There seems to be an open circuit between the pulser and low voltage spade connectors on the coil. Anyone know if this is normal or should I be looking at the posibility of a faulty Ignition assy or gear change unit?

Also, I have difficulty sourcing part for the kymco on the net, there is a local dealer but require these bits asap.

Any ideas?

Also im in GSY so maybe GSY Pete can assist in donating part to fault find )
