I just re-packed my silencer last week so now it's quieter.  I kinda miss the ear ringing! ;)

i thought about taking mine out. but it sounds great when you're on it. its just not as loud as you would think coming and going. but its pretty loud to all the scooters i pass! lol

It's way too loud without the packing!  I just re-packed mine because it was clogged up and saturated with oil.  It gets much louder as that happens!  I took Zombie's advice and re-packed with some Fab Mat.  No real change in performance, just noise level.  I think I need to re-jet though.  It seems performance has suffered with the warm/humid weather.

I guess we both did our jetting over the winter when the air was denser.  ;)

i have that problem too! i might get a 70cc kit so i'll just wait til then to re jet
