Also, those computer give additional info like; average speed, max. speed, trip distance, stop watch, clock.  Some will also do temp and elevation!  Those are all pieces of additional info my stock speedo doesn't give!  All for between $25 & $50 depending how much info you want!  The Cateye Velo 5 computer will do all of the above minus temp and elevation for $25!

Thats great if its accurate, maybe it would need checking with a sat nav... :P

...ran up th road, and down the road..

..made a mental note of the speedometer offsets..

..now, i need nothing to tell what my actual speed is...

..i just know!

Im sure kymco has one you can purchace that will have the correct speed on it

On a bicycle computer you set the calibration.  You enter in the circumference or "roll out" of the wheel.  You get this number in mm's by marking a place on the ground and on the tire and rolling forward one revolution of the wheel.  You then just measure that distance.   If it is off it is your own fault!  It can be easily changed though!  If set correctly they are very accurate!

That looks good, when I checked mine with a gps unit I found 70kmh was in fact 61, quite a big difference, so that might be the way to go. After getting the tuning thing sorted out.
