did anyone try this?
« on: April 02, 2010, 06:31:31 AM »
with a 80cc bbk, did anyone try 7g rollers with it? just wandering how it went
with acceleration, not looking for the yank...... just enough to get in and out of intersections.
didn't wanna spend the $$ on it , if someone else did a trial an era' with another size
roller and had better result. :o

again, thank you to all who answer the post on these sites....you guys are the bomb!

1 hour ago i experienced different roller wh8s but not on my scoot:
so the engine vas a 139qmb (similar) with 72cc kit

1) the original rollers were about 5,5-6 g : great take off (very brutal) but not to good for high speed cruising
2) 3,5g combined with 7,5g (3+3 of a kind) : bad ideea .. in 2 km the belt was totaled so we push it back to the garage
3) 8g malossi with new belt: BINGO!! moderate take off (pretty good but not brutal) , very fast and constand acceleration , engine seems to have more torque..so you cand cruise with it nice and smooth with lower rpm

I agree w/ customx22, The 4t is slower reving by nature, and the lighter rollers will free it up for you

5g with the 72cc big bore ?
i run 5g on my 49cc and i think that it is normal to increase the roller`s weight as you increase the engine power

also i found out that there is a 100cc kit i can give more information if you want to

As a general rule you are right mikrron. The extra inertia from the heavier piston may need to be tamed w/ heavier rollers. The Kymco's however tend to run on the lower rpm side to begin with, and I have seen them breath better once you free them up so to speak. It is all based on the overall cvt set-up and what the tuner finds suits him/her best. I tend to go for the higher rpm kits myself in these small cc engines. The 100cc kit would most likely prefer the heavier rollers besause it can actually make some torque on it's own. Post it up! we all like seeing cool parts...

here it is: http://www.forum.smartmotor.ro/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=389 (in romanian)
the guys were offering a discount for the first 5kits to recieve feedback on the forum, because it`s to big and nobody wants tu buy this and blow their engine
those 5 guys said that you must insert the piston in the cilinder (partial) then mount it on the engine (otherwyse it won`t fit),
the power is significant (obvious), and only one piston had a malfunction and perforated.
though i think it will ruine your engine bearings, if i had owned a baotian i would take the risk, but not on kymco :D

With Romainian being a second lang. to me (right after Plutonian) I got enough out of the links to see the kit is listed as discontinued from the manufacturer. At least that's what I think I got from following the links from the forum site. There were some very cool other parts listed there tho. One is a plastic cup that bolts on to a K&N type air filter. There are some real cool passenger foot pegs too. http://smartmotor.ro/magazin/index.php/update/menu-id-59.html  This one takes you too the supplier. The first time I saw the site the piston kit had a label across it that i gather said either discontinued or as you posted limited. I would give kittens to orphans every other day to be able to play w/ all these cool set-ups.
