Top case for S 200
« on: October 11, 2008, 11:56:01 PM »
Hi,
I just purchased a 2009 black S 200 and it will be delivered on Monday.
I'd like to add a top case to it but I'm not really sure which style or
size would match it. I've heard that a Givi would be good but which
model? I'd like to be able to easily remove the case when I'm not using
it. Do I need to buy additional mounting hardware? And I'd like it to
have the brake light feature. Above all, is this something that I could
install myself (limited mechanical ability)or should I get a dealer to
do it? Thanks for any info or pics that you can help with.

I have had my S200 for about 4 months now.  Have 2500 miles on it.  It has been through the initial 500 mile break-in and oil chnage, and another recent oil change.   I am also looking for the best top box.  iw ant a large one.  I am interested in the Givi 45 liter box.  I think the unilok boxes by givi come with a universal mounting kit, but I have found very little in the way of literature to confirm this, and I can't find any pics with one mounted that has any way to contact that person and ask questions.
Looking for advice.

I ended up buying the Shad SH40. Easy to install, no additional mounting rack needed. Easy to open, close, lock and unlock. Case is easy to remove from the bike as well. Plus it looks good too! I'm happy with it so far.
