got brand new 2013 Like 50 2T derestricting question

I just got a brand new Like 50 2T and with the manual and spare key the dealer gave me a lil bag containing what he called a tumbler looks like about an inch and a quarter pice of stainless steel tubing then what looks like a fuel jet for a carb i get the jet don't know what the other thing is for does anyone know. Also what other basic mods can I do to derestrict and get to about 40-45mph. Any help is appreciated  thanks

That smooth steel sleeve goes in your front variator pulley to replace one that is there with a ridge in its middle. That ridge restricts the variator to limit your speed. The brass jet allows a little richer mixture for a little more speed and less engine heat. You WILL notice a difference after you change these two. You may be able to do other things but search this forum since the other guys have already dug into this "hot-rodding" way more than I! My dealer did not know what those parts were for when I got an Agility 50 so don't feel like the Lone Ranger!

Thanks Karl I made this post right when I got home and hadn't planned on getting a kymco and am a newb and was new to the forum I have since been reading posts avidly and learning alot I'm pretty mechanically inclined and once I can borrow an impact wrench am sure I can change the boss out no prob but I am not to sure on best way to get the carb out to change the jet I've taken the seat off and airbox to get a decent look at it I'm also limited atm with just a very small amount of tools but once I start tinkering with it I know I won't stop this is gonna be a daily driver and my main form of transportation I I know I'm not supposed to go over 30 but I really need about 40 and would like 45 is possible to get to work and back.

I just picked up a used 2013 Like 50, and I'm trying to find these parts to derestrict with. Anybody have a good starting point for what jet size I should try? Are all the replacement variator bosses the same? Right now it is solidly under 30, I'd like to be closer to 40 but I don't have a lot of time or money to spend right now.

You should be able to get the speed you want by derestricting the variator boss (you need a smooth boss; might as well just get an upgraded variator while you're at it), putting in a stronger torque spring, upgrading the exhaust, and upjetting. You will also need some variator weights to get the best speed/acceleration profile possible. I suggest reading all of the content on the Like 50 board. That should get you up to speed (pun intended).

LOL Luigi this is a yr old I have since followed in yours and ParaIndiana footsteps ony thing stock in engine and tranny now is crank, reedblock, intake, and reeds lol.

i've hit 63 but that was downhill and I'm not tuned for top speed I arely hit over 9K rpms but I'm in 50s I could be in 60s's if I tuned for it.

Im at 8.3 - 8.5k rpm at 55mph with the upgear kit. Whats your max speed on flat ground?

Glad I could I help. I followed Para and Wass back when I was modding. I still have stock crank, air filter, clutch, and reed/reed block. How has your experience been with the upgraded clutch?

love the clutch it grips hard I haven't played with springs or spring positions yet I didn't get the MKII but even this mid level has adjustment. I run aroound 8500 to 8800 mainly and am in the 50ish range GPS verified. I think I have a crank bearing issue though I'm also running 6gr sliders so alot lighter than your setup. Para found me on AOL and is still running strong he's tuned his to run 60 at 9Krpms. I think my variator slides or boss is stucking as I feel I have lost some rpms. also need to take off rear pulley and grease it and change out heavy spring while running lighter weights. it's fun fiddling with this I plan to soon start building a Honda ruckus with a Zuma or other 2T engine in it specifically for performance on the mountain twisties here in NC.
