I knew this - I just ignored that I knew this.
I did take off my heated gloves when I went into the downtown library....but decided to keep the helmet on (figured I'd better not go in to a public building wearing a black balaclava, thanks to the desert hooligans, but it is a hassle getting the balaclava properly situated & tucked in again - so kept it and the helmet on. Flip up modular.)
The security guard at the front station was busy flirting with some young mothers....so I slid in, got my books and was out before he could call for back-up. A couple of library patrons said something to me as they passed - but with my earplugs and helmet on I must imagine it was some sort of compliment. Found two elderly fellows admiring the LIKE out in the parking lot...a first for me. Told them it was great fun and they ought to get one for themselves. One can bungee the canes on at the back....
