So I took off my variator cover to change my rollers but the gasket broke!!! I dont understand why is there a gasket after all because on a lot of other scooters there arent? Can I just run without it?

Your "clutch" is a CVT, Constant Variable Transmission. Dirt is an abrasive that will cause wear!

What JayAre posted is correct.
You can ride without it, but you will have to inspect the tranny more often, especially after going through dusty terrain.

You'll get water in the case when you ride through deep puddles. The clutch/variator will slip for a while and then dry out. You'll feel silly while it's thrashing away trying to shed the water.
