I BROKE IT IN!
« on: June 02, 2010, 02:50:30 AM »
So my odometer says 308km, roughly 191 miles.  I've already changed the engine oil, i need to find myself a teeny funnel for the gear oil.

Felt like just yesterday when my odometer was saying 1km.

I MIGHT be losing my mind, but i feel like its a bit faster now than when i first had it??  Does breaking in a scoot make it any faster?

Absolutely yes! As the rings seat the compression goes up, and the rest of the moving parts take on a polish that makes them all work a bit easier.

You can use a turkey baster or a syringe for the gear oil.

Turkey baster!!! That is freakin genius!  I spent a good 2 hours trying to pour the dam gear oil in there tonight with most of it pouring right out onto the floor.

because its kinda related if you hate oil spills like i do keep a bag of fresh step cat litter handy

if you spill oil, gas, or brake fluid you can cover the area in litter give it a couple hours and sweep it upif you do so fast enough you can even prevent having a stain

There's gonna be a swarm of killer Guiltys up in here soon! I'm pretty sure there are laws against that!
