Brake starter switch
« on: April 04, 2012, 11:14:24 PM »
It seems my left brake starter switch has gone bad.

Does anyone know what is involved in fixing it, and how much it might cost?

Might it be easier to bypass it?

Any info appreciated.

Thanks

Hi there,
the start will only work if the brake light is powered , but first i have a question , when you use the left brake is there no brake light or is it flashing when pul it on and off ?

Ihad the same thing and i have replaced the switch for new ones not so expensive and no more surprises.

if you want to know the part number just give a reply with type and year.

I have not had a chance to check the light. The scoot does start when I use the right brake.

I have a 2009 X500 RI. I'd appreciate the part number,

Thanks

I stopped by the local dealer. I'm going to have routine maintenance done Saturday.  They're going to look into the problem. If it's the switch, and they have it in stock, they'll replace it If they don't they'll order it.
