New scoots need valves checked!
« on: June 07, 2016, 05:58:33 PM »
Numerous posts on this but still true. NOS 2013 DT300i all four valves a TIGHT .0025! Now set at spec .004". Be very careful what dealer you have do this since most of their shop people are so half-fast they are bound to screw something up or forget to hook something back up. Get someone like Stig to help you the first time. Or you could go to a dealer with a great shop reputation. Or you could use an independent shop like Dimelo Motor Works in Nashville. The point is do it yourself with help if not familiar but don't assume since your dealer sold you the bike he has good intentions about repair. My opinion and I'm stickin' to it!
