Replacement plastic for 450i
« on: May 11, 2016, 03:04:35 AM »
So my wife, son and I took our 450i out for its first trail ride last weekend. Well I proceeded to get it mired in mud almost up to the seat. And in the process of winching out, I managed to break not one, but 3 separate pieces of plastic. Any ideas where I could purchase some or manufacturer only kinda thing?

I don't know of any aftermarket plastic. I'd contact your Kymco dealer for the pieces. Actually Kymco plastic parts (body parts) and parts in general are fairly inexpensive compared to other brands.

I would be concerned about going in that deep as the vent for what I believe is for the belt cover is not that tall, comes out just under the seat. Hate to see you get mud and water in there to your belt, as it takes some considerable effort to get into that belt cover for replacement. Factory recommends nothing deeper than floor boards, from what I see on my machine about 3/4 way up the wheels would be absolute max, after that you going to get intrusion into areas you don't want intrusion to get into!!

Thanks for the info. Trust me I don't plan on doing that ever again
