Hi all -

I've finally pulled the trigger on the Malossi 70cc BBK for my Super 8 50 2 Stroke.  I have a couple questions for the experts on the forum who've installed before or know what I need.  Please take note my current mods listed on my signature.  I am currently set-up to support the BBK, so I just need feedback on the below:

- Carb options: Would anyone recommend the 17.5mm or 19mm Carb? Is 17.5mm sufficient?  Thinking Naraku or Malossi.

Naraku 17.5mm: http://www.racingplanetusa.com/carburetor-naraku-175mm-electric-choke-kymco-honda-p-166601-1.html?backcPathco=25&cPath=2_21356

Malossi 19mm: http://www.racingplanetusa.com/carburetor-malossi-phbg-kymco-sf10-p-314-1.html?backcPathco=25&cPath=2_21356

 - Air Intake:  I'd like to keep stock and modify if possible, but if that doesn't work, what would you all suggest?

Thanks!

I like the thought of the 19mm carb minimum.

When all is done and put together, make sure your oil pump cam mark lines up with the index mark on the pump body (or 1mm to the open side) when the throttle is full open I believe under the lubrication system.

That's in the service manual.

Thanks all.  This is helpful. I'm going with the 19mm carb.

Do you think I could get away with modifying the stock air box, or would you suggest a cone filter??  I'm looking to keep the stock box and modify to reduce noise, but am aware I need more air.

Someone on here had good luck putting high flowing Uni red filter material in their stock air box.

Just wondering how you made out after your adjustments

- where did  you purchase your 70cc Malossi kit? (I originally ordered a Malossi and received a kit that would not fit so ended up with an Airsal then a Naruku kit. I seen some on Ebay cheaper and 1 on Amazon but heard some of these are not genuine. I wouldn't mind using a place someone else had a good experience with)

- how fast are you getting now "after" modifications?
- did you find another air filter that worked better?

I love my Malossi BBK for the Kymco 2T I have almost 4K on my second one I blew up the first one not seating circip properly still ran 1K miles before blowing up lol if you BBK it is best to go to atleast a 19MM carb if you plan on other mods especially expansion exhaust go with a 21mm carb and plan on the 20mm intake from racingplanet.com or scooter-tuning.ca
