UXV 500i windscreen (homemade)
« on: July 05, 2016, 09:20:23 PM »

This is my attempt at a windscreen for the 500i. The top is the $7.95 US that one of you guys found. It IS snug but fits! The screen has a slight curve to keep it from vibrating.

Actually looks quite nice. You might find it gets a little warm in there in the summer heat and might want to consider a half windshield at least that was my take. Curious about whether you used the clamps to hold the windshield on or whether you screwed it directly to the roll bars?  I used the clamps for easy removal ...just in case.

Drilled and tapped for 1/4-20 stainless machine screws, red Loctite to keep 'em there. Rubber washers and short section of neoprene tubing to cushion the  1/4"poly-carbonate. Thank you!

Stig, over on the scooter side, took the time to coach me on posting those pictures. Without him this post would not have been possible!
