aftermarket mirror shake
« on: July 22, 2016, 02:39:16 PM »
I got some new mirrors to give me a bit more visual reach on the Agility. also, they look better.
But unlike the old mirrors they shake like hell. ive tightend them down well but it makes no difference. Anyone run into this, and have some way to resolve this?

adding some mirror risers. hopefully that will lessen the shakes.

Adding the mirror risers to the same shaking mirrors will move your rear view further out & up.
It likely will not help the stem flexing, nor the mirror/stem contact shaking. Probably make it worse since you've increased the leverage.
Scooter mirrors shake - but maybe you need to buy better mirrors that shake less.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

I ended up using the risers and the stock mirrors. That gives me the visibility I need. Sending the shaky mirrors back. The original kymco mirror are pretty stable.

Hope the op doesn't mind me asking a question but you use risers on the mirrors on a LIKE.  I would like to get a better view from mine, especially when wearing a bulky jacket.

Flat mirrors have terrible shaking problem.  Convex mirrors don't.  It's the optics.
