Hello! My first time to post on here...thanks for having me...just bought a super8x 50 and so far i'm loving it.

TO jump right in, I'm already getting addicted to riding around town on a scooter...even with a 50cc, here in austin i can mostly beat any automobile traffic, esp in the major neighborhoods, bypassing most busy roads, esp during rushhour.

That said, I don't think I'd be comfortable driving on major freeways with this guy (not that I need to...). But at some point I might to start doing that more...esp as I get more familiar with the neighborhoods.

Any suggestions on how and when to make the transition to a potentially faster scooter...or possibly even jump up to a motorbike?

I'm still learnigh a lot...so any feedback is helpful.

Thanks!
Stevie, in Austin

Stig made some great suggestions. I would like to add that if you are thinking of riding the highways in the future, the absolute minimum CC's you are looking for is 250 or larger. 300 to 400cc is the sweet spot. Be safe and enjoy the ride!
