Broken CVT casing?...
« on: August 21, 2016, 10:49:29 AM »
So my kick starter stopped working, leaving me to carry around a portable jumper box to start my bike. Any ideas on what I can do here?
I opened up my cvt case and found this under the starter gear thing (photo below)

Sorry for your luck here.
Buy new or used part. ...replace .battery or whatever is preventing an electric start.
Doubt this broken part can be repaired.
Search scooter salvage yards?
Good luck.....please tell us how you fixed this.

Will do. So far nothing on the kick start and walmart doesnt seem to specify which battery they sell (everstart) will fit the Super 8 150

Some welder that has TIG skills should be able to weld that piece back and the hole reamed out. Ask De dee what he thinks about that.

Hmmmmm I didn't really consider a weld (I figured I'd have to replace it) I'll ask around since a couple of the Amish around here have welding specialty  shops
