Riding the Tennessee twisties on my Honda Helix
« on: October 31, 2016, 11:45:37 PM »
I took a trip this weekend from N. Georgia up to the Cherahola Skyway in North Caroline on my '93 Helix. I recorded a little video of a stretch of Hi. 68 in Tennessee that I really enjoyed. The video is a little raw, I am still trying to learn editing.

Nice scenery. I like all the twisties. Just a suggestion, zero out the speaker sound when editing as the wind noise took away from the embedded music.

Nice Mr. Paul. Rode that section last year when we went to Maggie Valley and also rode the BRP over Mt. Mitchell. Your weather looked perfect. We had fog and rain every day.

Hey, nice looking video. We can see the scoot...not just pavement!
IMHO perhaps the best view of a Helix ever. (because we don't  have to look at its profile!!)(Honda and Yamaha made some .......looking scoots in those days ! °¿° )
But by every account  I've  heard...the Helix is a great scooter  to own.
Nice job.

Nice footage. Thanks for posting. What kind of camera are you shooting with, and what program are you using for editing?

Thanks. I am shooting with a Sony HDR-AS15 Action Camera. I am using the standard Youtube video editor.

Thanks Stig. The Helix is a funky looking scooter but looks are not high up on my priorities. I just love the little machine. I did 330 miles that day and I was never tired or uncomfortable. Also kept up with the motorcycles on the mountain roads and got over 60 MPG doing it! You will not find a Helix owner who doesn't love them. I could have gotten a Reflex but chose the Helix instead. Glad I did.
