450i box rail
« on: November 05, 2016, 03:09:30 PM »
Anybody know what the square hole cut outs are for on the bed rails? All I can think of is maybe hook points for bungi straps. I'm not seeing any accessories listed that would snap in them.

Yep, access points for straps or cargo nets, safer on the plastic to use that type of hole than just a round one, it will make the plastic not crack as easy.

I am getting the bed rail protectors installed on mine from off road body and from the looks of diamond plate rail protectors I think they cover up the access points on the bed rail. Which is ok in my opinion. Id rather have the protection than chipping or cracking the bed rails. Plus still have the tie down points inside the bed.

Yep I wouldn't trust the plastic rails for holding much other than really light stuff, much safer to use the steel rings in the box!
