I like it. I'd like it better if the summer was a bit longer and warmer, but you can't have everything.

The fishing? I don't fish myself but the guys that cast a line from the wall seem to catch a fair few mackeral. The little boats that head out into the bay catch a lot of crab, lobster etc and, further out, the bigger boats (often from other parts of the EU) load up on herring & cod. The rivers here generally have very busy salmon seasons.

Reminds me of the Maine coastline as part of my family resides there. Short summers and long winters.
