a great ride

Rode yesterday for the first time this year 4/14/17. It was 80 degrees and sunny. Man it sure felt good.
I got off to a slow start this year. Covered up with have to do things.

Hurray Boo got in a ride. I loved the smell of the grasses riding yesterday, that primal odor of the earth mother that suffuses our senses with the gifts of Spring.

Amazing how a good ride can quite the soul and spirit. For that brief time we can leave the cares and burdens of this world behind us and become one with nature. For that we are grateful.

Perfect words, Mac. Exactly what I was thinking, but you said it so much more elegantly. Hopefully, I can join Boo and get a ride in tomorrow. Spent today getting things done because of the previous week of cruddy weather - we even had SNOW on Friday. I need to get back in the saddle!
