even on a good running 49cc scooter, expect 27 MPH or lower on the steeper hills.

So I have purchased a Polini High Speed Variator and Technigas Silent Pro Exhaust.  mlsmith2924 I will let you know how this goes.
Tseg I think the Variator should clear the rev issue when you disconnect the Purple wire.

I will also look at a bigger jet as well to match the exhaust.

Yes! please do good sir

Everything on and in place.  I still haven't removed the washer in the intake yet.
Waiting till I can get a bigger jet first to make up for the extra air.

Will let you know how the my first ride goes this morning.

So what I have done so far.

Replaced Boss
Replaced Variator with Polini high speed (using stock smooth boss) and 6.9 gram rollers
Replaced original 80 jet with 82 jet (this came with the scooter when I purchased it)
Replaced stock exhaust with Technigas Silent Pro
Removed washer from intake valve.

What I noticed from test run.

Better acceleration, holding 37 mph on flats (was a quick test ride so motor never got warm)

I was getting a popping noise before I took the washer out.  When driving it with that I did hit 43.5mph on a down hill

Next I am going to try a lighter roller, maybe 6 or 6.5 grams

Nice, I finally grew some balls and cut the CDI wire. There was a definite power gain and I hit 40 on a flat, 42 downhill! thats all I really hoped because I live in Boston and theres a street light every 5 feet.
